Battles
Battles are turn-based. You and your opponent take turns choosing an action until one pod faints.
Your Turn Options
| Action | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Attack | Deal damage based on your Attack stat vs their Defense. |
| Skill | Use your pod's special ability (if off cooldown). |
The Skill button has a cooldown based on your pod's CP. Stronger pods wait longer.
Perfect Sync (PvE only)
In wild battles the action plays automatically, but a ring periodically appears. Tap when the ring contracts for a Perfect Sync — 1.5x bonus damage! Miss the window and you still deal normal damage.
Type Effectiveness
Each type is strong against 2 types and weak against 2 types.
- Super effective (2x damage) — type advantage
- Not very effective (0.5x damage) — type disadvantage
- Normal (1x damage) — neutral
Strategy tip: Build a team with diverse types so you're never caught off guard.
CP Isn't Everything
Higher CP doesn't guarantee a win. A lower CP pod can beat a stronger one thanks to:
- Type advantage — super effective hits deal 1.6x damage, resisted hits only 0.6x
- Critical hits — some abilities can crit for 2x damage
- Stuns — skip the enemy's turn entirely
- Lifesteal — heal while dealing damage
- Perfect Sync (PvE) — time the ring tap for 1.5x bonus damage
- Random variance — each hit rolls between 0.85x and 1.0x base damage
A smart pick with type advantage beats brute force more often than not.
Capturing Wild Pods
Win a wild battle and you capture the pod. It joins your collection. Lose and you only get a few particles.
Boss Battles
Occasionally a boss pod spawns (look for the red glow). Bosses have boosted stats and you can't capture them, but winning gives 80 particles instead of the usual 28.
PvP Battles
Same turn-based system, but against a real person. Both players pick simultaneously. See Multiplayer for details.
Team Battles
Bring 3 pods. They fight one at a time. When one faints, the next in line jumps in. First player to lose all 3 pods loses.
