Fusion

Creatures offers two approaches to fusion: Classic Fusion (blind, cheap) and Lumen Alchemy (targeted essence crafting). Both consume the parents — choose wisely!

Classic Fusion

The original 2-pod blind fusion. Quick, cheap, and random.

How to Fuse

  1. Pick a Parent A and Parent B from your collection
  2. Spend Abyss Particles based on your pods' Gene Points (GP): cost = ((parentA.GP + parentB.GP) / 2) × 0.6
  3. Watch the fusion animation
  4. Meet your new child pod!

What the Child Inherits

Trait How It Works
Stats Average of both parents, then boosted by 1.15×. The child is significantly stronger.
Level Takes the higher level of the two parents.
Generation max(parent generations) + 1. G1 + G1 = G2.
Type Can inherit from either parent, or mutate into something new. 10% evolve chance to an evolved form, 10% mutate to a different base type.
Colors Blends the parents' colors with some randomness.
Scale Averages the parents' sizes, with a chance to be slightly bigger or smaller. 5% chance for extreme scale mutation (0.5–2.0).
Decorations Each parent's decor has a chance to carry over (68%). Rare decor rolls are possible (0.5% for Cosmic Ring, 1% for Star Crown, etc.). 10% stat specialization chance (one stat +50%, another −20%).
Ability Can inherit from either parent, or evolve to a better ability. Rare fusions can unlock crossbreed or mythic abilities.
Eyes Blends eye count and style from both parents.

Fusion Recipes

Some type combinations produce predictable results. Experiment to discover them all!

Rare Decorations

Fusion is the only way to get these rare decoration tiers:

  • Ancient tier decor
  • Mythic tier decor
  • Radio tier decor

The higher your pods' generations, the better your chances. Generation also increases type mutation/evolution rates by +2% per gen.

Lumen Alchemy — Fusion 2.0

Lumen Alchemy replaces blind fusion with a 3-phase craft system: Extract → Infuse → Synthesize. It gives you full control over what comes out.

Phase 1 — Extract

Dismantle a LumenPod into Essence Shards instead of releasing it. Every pod becomes useful fuel.

Open any pod's detail view and tap the EXTRACT button.

What You Get Drop Rate
Type Essence — stores the pod's type 100%
ATK Essenceattack × 0.3 stat value 100%
DEF Essencedefense × 0.3 stat value 100%
HP EssencemaxHealth × 0.3 stat value 100%
Ability Essence — stores the pod's ability 60% (basic) / 80% (evolved) / 100% (mythic)
Decor Essence — stores the pod's decor 30% (common) / 60% (rare) / 100% (mythic)
Generation Catalystgeneration × 0.3 gen value 100% (only if gen > 1)

Cost: pod.gp × 0.3 Abyss Particles. Reward: pod.gp × 0.3 particles back (release value). Result: Pod is consumed. Essence shards added to your inventory.

Phase 2 — Infuse

Spend essence shards to boost a single trait on an existing pod.

See the dedicated Infusion page for full details, including Gen Catalyst and Pure Essence infusion.

Quick summary: - Cost: targetPod.gp × 0.5 particles + 1 shard consumed - Supports: Type, ATK, DEF, HP, Ability, Decor, Gen Catalyst, Pure Essence - Can't infuse the same type/ability/decor the pod already has - Pure Essence (craftable) boosts all stats by ~10% of GP

Phase 3 — Synthesize (Enhanced Fusion)

Replace blind 2-pod fusion with a Core + Catalyst system for deterministic results.

  1. Select 2 parent pods as usual (the "core")
  2. Assign Catalyst Essences to override specific traits
  3. Confirm synthesis

Catalyst Slots (unlock by generation):

Slots Unlock
1 slot Generation 1+
2 slots Generation 5+
3 slots Generation 15+

What each slot does:

Slot Effect
Type Essence Forces the child's type to the essence's type
Ability Essence Forces the child's ability to the essence's ability
Stat Essence (ATK/DEF/HP) Boosts the matching stat by +30% (× 1.3)
Gen Catalyst Adds its gen value to the child's generation
Pure Essence No effect as a catalyst (use stat essences instead)

Cost: averageGP × 0.6 particles + selected essences consumed.

Stat catalyst stacking: Each stat essence multiplies the base stat by 1.3× after averaging. Multiple stat catalysts stack multiplicatively.

Alchemist's Mark

When a pod is created via Synthesis and reaches Generation 10+, it gains the Alchemist's Mark — shown as a purple badge on its detail view.

  • +5% to all stats (multiplied after all other calculations)
  • The badge appears next to its name
  • Requires at least one non-Gen-Catalyst essence used in synthesis
  • These pods are extra-precious — protect them!

Essence Types Reference

Type Icon What It Stores
Type 🔄 A pod's LumenType
ATK ⚔️ Attack stat value × 0.3
DEF 🛡️ Defense stat value × 0.3
HP ❤️ Max health stat value × 0.3
Ability A pod's LumenAbility
Decor 💎 A pod's LumenDecor
Gen Catalyst 🌟 Generation value × 0.3
Pure Essence 🕯️ All stats +10% (crafted from 3 stat essences)

Essence shards stack by type (up to 99 per stack). Check your essence inventory from the fusion screen.

Which Should You Use?

Approach Cost Result
Classic Fusion Cheaper Random — gambling for rare decor or abilities
Lumen Alchemy More expensive Deterministic — you control the outcome

Both approaches coexist. Use Classic Fusion for risky gambles and rare decor hunting. Use Synthesis when you need a specific trait or want the Alchemist's Mark bonus.

Undo Fusion

Made a mistake? You can undo a fusion to get both parents back. Costs fusedPod.gp × 2.0 Abyss Particles. Only the most recent fusion on a pod can be undone.
